Fern 100% Essential Oil Perfume

I tried the sample Fern, a perfume that immediately caught my eye due to its unique selling point: being made with 100% essential oils. As someone who appreciates natural ingredients, this aspect was a significant draw.

Upon application, the scent delivered exactly what its name suggested. It presented a very strong, distinctively plant-based aroma, with prominent earthy and green notes. There's no mistaking its natural origins; it smells genuinely of the outdoors, almost like walking through a damp forest after a rain.

However, while the authenticity of the scent was undeniable, it ultimately wasn't for me. The primary reason being that it too closely resembled the various essential oil blends I already use in my home diffuser. While wonderful for creating an ambient atmosphere, I found that this particular profile didn't translate as well for personal fragrance. It felt more like an extension of my home aromatherapy than a distinct perfume. And the scent profile was a little flat for my taste.

In terms of performance, the longevity of Fern was moderate, lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours on my skin. Its projection was fairly intimate, staying within arm's length, perhaps a little more.

In summary: If you are a true enthusiast of potent, unadulterated plant-derived fragrances and don't mind a scent profile akin to natural essential oils, Fern might be a fantastic choice for you. However, if you're seeking a more complex or traditional perfume experience that distinctly separates itself from home aromatherapy scents, you might find this one a bit too familiar. It’s certainly a high-quality product for what it aims to be, but its character wasn't a personal fit.
